Everywhere you go, commentators persist in tolling the death bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Dedicated Xbox communities began covering regarding Sony's platform for the first time. Last year proved to be a period of total upheaval for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it becomes clear that Microsoft continues to plan to attract subscribers with compelling titles on its flagship service.
A pair of titles currently accessible today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's worth getting excited about.
On Jan. 13, the platform will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from typical Ubisoft design with a cosmic robbery tale. Another big get is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, hailed in past assessments as "an ideal blend of horror and action."
However, the more modest titles coming to Game Pass soon are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that's a blast to play, becomes available next week — and it merits a playthrough even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year could captivate you in about 15 minutes flat.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the makers of Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
Ultimately, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are very dependable. It offers a healthy blend of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that failed to receive the spotlight they were due initially — rendering them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.
You might need to brace yourself to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
