Manchester United Set to Sign German Forward Lea Schüller away from Bayern Munich

Manchester United are on the verge of sealing the deal for prolific Germany forward Lea Schüller in a permanent move away from Bayern Munich.

A Marquee Signing for the WSL Side

The forward, with half a year left on her deal, is known as a prolific goal-getter for both club and country. Having netted over 100 goals for Bayern and scored 54 times in 82 appearances for Germany. Her arrival is viewed as a marquee signing for the WSL side.

Her exit from Munich was expected since she appeared to be fighting back tears while applauding the club's fans after a win over Bayer Leverkusen this month.

It was reported in December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was set to lose one of its top strikers. According to multiple sources, the formalities for the move are now finalised.

The 28-year-old’s signing is expected to provide a significant uplift to the team's attacking options. She has been highly reliable with her finishing in Germany’s top flight.

• Over seven consecutive seasons, including the last term, she achieved at least a double-figures tally of league goals.
• She won the Golden Boot in the 2021-22 season with a haul of 16 goals.
