A female charged with harassing Kate McCann apparently deposited her a voicemail message which posed: "suppose I am Madeleine?"
The defendant, twenty-four, who witnesses stated has repeatedly declared she was the missing Madeleine McCann, and Karen Spragg are on trial charged with pursuing Kate and Gerry McCann between June 2022 and February 2025.
On Monday, Leicester Crown Court heard call records and information obtained from phones recorded Ms Wandelt consistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a biological test throughout 2023 and 2024.
Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - at the age of three during a family holiday in Portugal - is considered the most publicized missing child cases and is still unsolved.
One voicemail, played in court, recorded Ms Wandelt saying: "I know I'm fat and plain like Madeleine was, but I feel what I know."
While one recording of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's recording expressed: "Suppose there is a tiny probability that I am she? Then what? Wouldn't that be crucial for you?"
"I am not seeking money, I maintain a living here in Poland, I just want to discover," the message continued.
The jury was told that through emails, SMS messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt requested a genetic test, transmitted youth pictures to her phone in a bid to show a likeness to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and stated to have "memories" from a early life with the McCanns.
Robert Jones, a data specialist with law enforcement who gathered the data, advised the court there "showed no any replies" from Mrs McCann.
Ms Wandelt furthermore communicated with acquaintances of the McCanns, as per the call data.
On that date, the father responded to a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "a wrong number."
That day Ms Wandelt recorded a message on Mrs McCann's voicemail stating "I will persist and I intend to demonstrate my claim."
The court heard the co-defendant struck up a association via internet with Ms Wandelt prior to joining her on a trip to the McCanns' property in the county in December 2024.
Phone records revealed Mrs Spragg had contacted through communication app to Mrs McCann to state the media had characterized Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she deserved to be considered genuine in the time preceding the visit to Rothley, the county, in December 2024.
The court learned message exchanges between the two defendants, in that autumn, discussing endeavoring to obtain Mrs McCann's genetic material from her garbage or from cutlery at a restaurant.
"We have to make a stand," Mrs Spragg told Ms Wandelt.
On the occasion of the visit to their home, the defendant sent a text which said: "We are sitting near the McCanns' residence with our headlights off like detectives. I desired to achieve this with another person I never thought I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."
The trial continues.
